Senior Ecologist in West End, London

SENIOR ECOLOGIST - WEST MIDLANDS OR LONDON - PERMANENT - £36,300 - £52,125

ARM are working with a leading railway client and we are currently recruiting for a Senior Ecologist working a range of projects that will really make a difference to the ecosystem and its biodiversity ensuring a net gain to the work.

About You:
* You will be an experienced and qualified Ecologist.
* You will have demonstrable field based surveys experience.
* You will also have been involved with field based report writing.
* Knowledge of various types of surveys and land based is preferred, as this is a land based client and will not cover marine ecology.

What you will be doing:
The purpose of this role is to provide ecosystem and biodiversity knowledge to ensure that projects along the railway provide a net gain to the area. This will involve engaging with others to survey the areas, report writing and providing advice in practices that involve land restoration, landscape planting, responsible construction activities and habitat creation. This role will genuinely have an impact to the ecosystems in a positive way, after the projects have been completed and will be industry leading. You will also have the opportunity to help form policy and be the advocate for biodiversity and ecology within the company.

This position can be based in either London or Birmingham (depending on your preferred location), as the company has office in both areas. It will be hybrid working, with some visits to sites too.

The salary for this position is between £36,300 and £52,152 per annum. We may be able to exceed this guidance for the right candidate too. On top of this is a generous benefits package that includes pension, holiday and private healthcare above the usual allowances. There is also a real chance for progression within the company too, with many having been promoted within a few years of joining
