Senior Design Engineer in Reading, Berkshire

Advanced Resource Managers are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer to work on a long-term contract with a leading client in the Nuclear Defence industry.

What you will be doing

• Ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the life-cycle
• Ensure application of standards is proportionate and that engineering best practice is adopted.
• Elevate areas of concern to the relevant Principal Engineer.
• Liaise with other discipline areas to ensure overall design intent is maintained.
• Review and check Design Engineers work.
• Monitor and assess competence of Design Engineers in relevant discipline area.

What do you need to succeed?

• Have knowledge in some or all the elements below
  • Pressure systems
  • Process design
  • Mechanical Handling Design
  • Close out of approved design changes
  • Engineering support to installation and commissioning
  • Substantiation of mechanical designs

This opportunity is a 12-month contract based onsite in Berkshire. Depending on experience the salary range is from £60 - £70 per hour, outside IR35.
