Senior Category Buyer - Edinburgh - 3 Month initial Contract - Up to £41 p/h (Inside)

ARM is delighted to be recruiting for a huge Aerospace, Defence, and Security company who are actively seeking a Senior Category Buyer to join them on an initial 3 month contract with the view of being extended.

The role requires the Senior Category Buyer to join the Category Management team within the Procurement and Commercial Function of an electrics division.

Responsibilities:

* Be responsible for all aspects of the sourcing phase including price and contract negotiations
* Establish and maintain appropriate contractual frameworks with multiple vendors
* Manage relationships with strategic suppliers who may serve multiple sites
* Support the category manager in evolving the relevant category strategy within a dynamic team
* Coach and mentor team members within the function to assist with their development and ensure work is timely and accurate

Requirements:

* Current SC Clearance is required
* Demonstrable working knowledge and understanding of Contract Terms & Conditions
* Proven working experience, ideally in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Logistic fields
* SAP User Experience
* A full, valid driving license and access to your own vehicle as supplier visits will be required
* CIPS Qualified or working towards is desirable
* Significant experience in managing complex tenders
