SAP Support Engineer in Basildon, Essex

Are you a technically strong systems administrator with a passion for SAP landscapes? We're seeking a SAP Basis Support Engineer to ensure system stability, drive efficiency, and support digital transformation initiatives. This role offers opportunities to work across S/4HANA, NetWeaver, HANA DB, and modern cloud environments.

What You'll Do:

• Manage SAP systems across Linux, Unix, and Windows platforms
• Handle installations, configurations, kernel upgrades, and patching
• Administer HANA DB, Sybase ASE, and other databases with backup, recovery, and performance tuning
• Conduct system copies, client administration, and transport management
• Monitor systems and troubleshoot incidents while ensuring compliance and security
• Collaborate with developers, functional consultants, and infrastructure teams

Must-Have Skills:

• SAP Basis & System Administration
• Database Administration & Backup/Recovery
• OS Knowledge (Linux/Unix/Windows)
• System Monitoring & Incident Management
• Transport Management & Kernel Upgrades
• User & Role Administration
