Overview:
Our customer is embarking on a strategic programme to transform the organisation's key IT systems and introduce efficient, growth-focused processes through the delivery of a new, Salesforce-based IT application.
This Project Manager role within the customer's Transformation Programme will be a senior IT professional who will plan and manage product configuration and development activities across 3 separate delivery partners covering:
* Delivery of a Salesforce CRM solution
* Integration and front-end UI solutions integrated with Salesforce
* Specialist pricing & forecasting functions in support of new commercial customers
* She/he will work with the 3rd party delivery teams to coordinate and manage the technical delivery workstreams within the Programme, including :
* Defining and managing cross-workstream and external dependencies
* Managing project plans per workstream and cross-workstreams, and addressing issues and problems that arise
* Identifying and managing risks and issues; Escalation and communication of RAID items to programme management team
* Organising and managing Show & Tell sessions throughout the delivery process
* Reporting on progress vs plans
* Ensuring that delivery teams adhere to approved technical architecture designs and policies
* Ensure that delivery processes from sprints to testing to implementation are well managed and work effectively
* Ensure that deliveries from the partners align with operational requirements and that the implementation lead is well-versed in technical information required to plan a smooth deployment of the new systems scope
In summary, to ensure that all technical delivery teams are well-managed
Responsibilities:
Develop & maintain a cross-programme delivery plan for all technical deliveries
* Coordinate technical delivery workstreams & 3rd party supplier teams
* Manage risk, issues & dependencies that affect technical delivery
* Assign & manage tasks to teams
* Exception & change management
* Quality assurance of the technical solutions
* Change management of the IT solutions
* Team organisation & structure of the workstreams in scope of technical deliveries
* Integration planning & delivery with the project team from the appointed service providers
Ensure that other key programme resources are kept fully aware & involved with delivery planning & execution :-
* Product Owner
* Solution Architect
* Test Manager
* Implementation Manager
* Business Readiness Manager
The overall aim is to successfully coordinate the technical delivery project, resulting in a high quality deployment of new systems and retiring of legacy systems through a series of defined deployment phases.
Qualifications:
Experience & Key Skills:
* Proven track record of setting up & delivering complex technical delivery programmes, working with multiple 3rd party suppliers.
* Experience on programmes covering combinations of data migration, systems replacement & enhancement, integration (Internal & external applications)
* Agile & Waterfall delivery methodologies
* Broad range of industry & technology experience covering CRM, UK Energy industry, Middleware, Security, Functional & Non-Functional Testing
* Experience of planning and delivering through Agile sprints and managing allocation of work in this environment
* Quality approach
* Ability to work under pressure & to aggressive deadlines
* Project planning and managing to agreed plans, timescales & resourcing
