ARM are recruiting for an RAMS Engineer with experience of FMECA for a permanent opportunity with a defence company in Portsmouth.
You will be joining a mature environment, where your contributions will have a direct impact on safeguarding the U.K. at home and abroad.
As a RAMS Engineer with experience of MIL-HDBK-217F based in Portsmouth, you will be responsible for;
- Perform Failure Models Effects and Critically Analysis (FMECA)
- Implement Reliability and Availability analysis
- Realise Hazard Analysis (Safety Risks Identification)
- Provide support to the project team to define solutions / recommendations to reach the reliability requirements
You should, as an RAMS Engineer able to work in Portsmouth, have experience of the following;
- Degree or Equivalent qualification within a relevant subject area
- Have a good understanding of MIL-HDBK-217F
- First experience on satellite telecoms payload systems desirable
- Ability to interpret equipment design specifications, schematics and interface control documents
- Ability to interpret stress and thermal analysis reports an advantage
- Demonstrable experience of undertaking RAMS activities including RAMS plans, Functional Analysis,
- Functional Block Diagrams, reliability/availability apportionment, predictions and modelling,
- FMECAs, Fault Tree Analysis / Reliability Block Diagram, analyses
- Experience using reliability software tools an advantage
- Ability to work collaboratively with our clients and internal teams in the development of designs ensuring RAM compliance is achieved throughout the project life cycle by the identification of undesirable issues and influencing design solutions
- A pro-active thinker that can provide potential solutions
- Ability to track production of tasks from conception to completion
- Drive and enthusiasm to achieve customer quality criteria
- Ability to work to deadlines and adhere to schedules
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
