The Role
The clients are based in Rustington, West Sussex. The clients are developing next generation equipment and products that are used in various industries such as defence, military, and non-government organisations. This is a great opportunity to work with one of our key clients to deliver a project for our client to make a major contribution for the company.
The Main Responsibilities
You will be reporting to the quality manager to improve and understand company policies and procedures to improve quality of the products.
- You will be supporting and liaising with the quality manager and the department to make sure communication and integration is up to standard.
- You will also be supporting the cost down activities of the company.
- You will be expected to maintain and report suitable metrics and performance indicators for the business.
- You will be supporting and assisting to improve the product development, delivery, quality, and engineering process.
- You will be doing audits and report on all departments required as well as supporting approval of new suppliers.
- You will ensure the flow-down of business, regular and customer quality requirements.
- You will lead and maintain a material review board to ensure non-conforming product is assessed and managed.
- You must ensure appropriate quality plans are in place for all projects.
Experience and qualifications
You must have relevant qualification in a quality engineering discipline or relevant experience.
- You must have experience and ability to understand engineering specifications.
- You must have a proven record of process development and improvement within quality engineering.
- Knowledge of audit and assessment against differing standards.
- Experience in HGV inspection is desired.
- Knowledge of welding procedures and process.
You must be eligible for security clearance due to the nature of the work.
