My client is a well know name with Flight simulation software, known for their unique experience offering!

They are looking for a Project Planner to join the team to help ensure the planing, control and govern flight training activities and programmes are delivered.
You will report to the Operations Planning Lead and work in a role that will be split by delivery stream to align with the current organisation structure. You will need to be a confident Project Planner as you will be responsible for the following - (But not limited to)

* Ensuring detailed schedules are updated and maintained on a regular basis with high accuracy in line with the business rhythm.
* Ensuring cross project linkages are up to date and accurate across the portfolio.
* Generating reporting packs and briefing packs to highlight change in month.
* Responsible for communicating the monthly reporting out to Operations teams and addressing queries on the data.
* Responsible for guiding site based teams through analysing and understanding the reporting and data held within Primavera.
* Troubleshooting operational planning issues, including rapid scenario (what-if) planning, at a detailed data level, ensuring full stakeholder engagement and communication throughout the process.
* Validating and signing-off changes from Training Design Database and enacting required changes into the Primavera toolset.
* Managing and maintaining an accurate data set to ensure management information is accurately represented in all reports across the operational activity.
* Active engagement in the meeting rhythm for the training pipeline including all working groups, Scenario Planning, Flying Training Plan working groups, Course Delivery Schedule working groups,

Change Review Boards etc.
* Challenging planning assumptions and ensuring plan aligns with delivery.
* Maintaining a focus on revalidating planning assumptions on a regular basis with the site teams.
* Interface with Capability Delivery team to understand future changes to the training pipeline.

Looking at Key Outcomes from -
*Safety and Assurance
o No avoidable Loss of Life as a result of Ascent Operations
o Role model usage of Near Miss Reporting across the business to ensure a safe working environment
o Support Ops Planning Lead in active risk/issue management within planning assumptions and operational deliverly areas in documenting risk to delivery of the FTP
o Support Ops Planning Lead in creating, monitoring and reviewing Operations processes across the Training Support Hub and sites within QMS

*People
o Ensure all personal Learning & Development activity is completed in required timescales
o Increase D&I awareness within own team and across the function and business
o Effective engagement with all People processes and initiatives, with no late responses/submissions to any HR calendar or line manager deadlines
o Be an active champion of Primavera and Planning & Controls, guiding and advising stakeholders within the business, and contributing to their development and knowledge.
o Supporting briefings and workshops with the key stakeholder groups within the wider business

*Customer
o Support the generation and drafting of Flying Training Plan documents iaw contractual timeframes
o Support sites in developing and assessing Flying Training Plan capacity and schedules, including through year support to scenario planning
o Establish and maintain Training Design Database and Primavera P6 alignment in support of accurate operations planning
o Foster relationships with the site staff and key stakeholders

*Performance
o Complete all onboarding and Planning and Controls training, including use of Primavera P6 to support Ascent Flight Training Operations
o Support accurate reporting, automated wherever possible, of Operations performance against the Flying Training Plan; support operational sites by highlighting any trends that may lead to
schedule delays and identify opportunities for accelerating training or making up lost ground
o Support and develop emerging and current technologies (e.g. PowerBI/P6) to support measurement and reporting of performance against the Flying Training Plan

*Financial
o Support Ops Planning Lead in identifying opportunities to meet/exceed Revenue and In Yr/Long Term Operating Profit Budgets across Operations
o Gain an understanding of the contract and its limitations on equipment usage and understand and incorporate into planning analysis accordingly
o Ensure that all timelines are met in terms of contractual deliverables (FTP submission) to avoid financial penalties

*Essential:
o Analytical, logical thinking
o Previous experience of Primavera P6 in a portfolio or programme environment with fully resource loaded schedules
o Strong communicator both one on one and in larger groups
o Confident dealing with senior stakeholders
o Good IT skills - Microsoft office and confident in utilising other third party software (e.g. MS Teams, Monday.com, databases etc.)
o Strong team worker focusing on shared as well as individual goals
o The ability to think beyond a given task to ensure the right outcomes are achieved
