ARM Maritime, The Sea to Shore Recruitment Specialists, is recruiting for a leading specialist joinery and interior fit-out contractor. With over 45 years of experience and an international reputation for excellence and innovation, this dynamic company operates across a wide range of sectors, including marine, luxury hotels, prime residential, and commercial projects.
The Role:
Due to new contract awards, we are looking for an experienced and ambitious Project Manager to join the Marine team based in Antrim. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating resources to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Budget Management: Assist in developing project budgets and ensure projects are delivered within financial parameters.
Client Specifications: Ensure all work meets client specifications, with up-to-date information available to all site personnel.
Resource Coordination: Manage staff, labor, materials, and subcontractors effectively to keep projects on track.
Client Liaison: Maintain clear communication with clients and their representatives, providing updates on progress and addressing issues as needed.
Safety and Compliance: Implement Operations and Safety Management Procedures and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations.
Documentation: Set up and maintain accurate site administration systems to record and document all project activities.
Contractual Adherence: Ensure all contractual conditions are met and protect the company's contractual position.
Performance Monitoring: Establish reporting processes and staff performance targets, ensuring consistent standards across the board.
Cost Control: Monitor financial performance, understand Cost Value Reporting, and take steps to minimize costs.
Relationship Building: Proactively develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Value Engineering: Engage in value engineering to maximize project contributions.
Health & Safety: Maintain high safety standards and ensure all environmental and health & safety regulations are adhered to.
What We're Looking For:
Experience in construction, ideally in interior fit-out projects (marine experience is not essential).
Background in joinery or equivalent third-level education.
Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure, make informed decisions, and solve problems effectively.
Excellent attention to detail, commercial acumen, and cost control abilities.
Proven ability to build and maintain successful customer relationships.
The Nature of the Role:
While this position is primarily based in Antrim, the Project Manager will be required to travel to lead projects and ensure their successful delivery for the client.
