The Job
As a Production Planner you will be responsible for creating a Master Planning Schedule. This includes coordinating the various production requirements of the business into one MPS that is achievable.
Main responsibilities
- You will be understanding the available build slots, consolidate the demand of various projects into one Master Planning schedule.
- You will be regularly reviewing the Master Planning schedule. and adjust accordingly to suit current demand.
- You will liaise with the Material Controllers to ensure inbound material matches the Master Planning schedule for smooth production.
- You will manage key stakeholders from multiple programs at the same time.
- You will be working with the Production Manager, ensure that adequate resources are available to support the Master Planning schedule.
- Ensure any change requests to BOM's are reflected in the MPS based on material availability.
- Support the Material Controllers when required with expediting, or shortage identification.
- As part of the logistics team, work with the Systems and Process team to identify gaps and produce solutions in the production planning element of the business.

Experience/Knowledge
- You must have operations experience in low/medium volume automotive production.
- Also have experience of supply chain and planning.
- You must have manufacturing background with qualification preferred, ideally APICS, or HNC level, or relevant experience.
- You will need to have experience managing relationships with a broad range of stake holders, within all levels of the business.
- Must have an understanding of system integration and configuration management.
- Have extensive knowledge of manufacturing support tools such as SAP & MRP.
- Have competent experience in the composition of BOMs and Production Schedules.
You MUST BE Eligible for UK Security Clearance to minimum SC ('Secret') level.
