Product Owner – Software Engineering in Reading, Berkshire

An opportunity for an experienced Digital Engineering Product Owner to lead software engineering delivery within a complex, safety-critical environment.

The Experience required for this role:

• 10+ years' Software Engineering experience within aerospace, defence, or another regulated industry.
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, or similar.
• Proven experience leading Software Engineering delivery, Product Ownership, or Software Factory environments.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, software architecture, integration, verification & validation, configuration management, and requirements traceability.
• Experience delivering software to DO-178C and other safety-critical standards.
• Understanding of Digital Engineering, Model-Based Engineering (MBE), Digital Thread, and Digital Continuity.
• Experience with Software Factory toolchains, CI/CD, secure code management, and configuration baselines.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating delivery across engineering, IT, manufacturing, and supplier teams.
