Procurement Manager (Bids and Proposals) - Portsmouth- Permanent - £50,000 DOE

ARM are partnering with a prestigious Defence business who are looking for a Procurement Manager - Bids and Proposals to join them on a permanent basis.

Within this role you will work as part of a team that are responsible for procuring a diverse range of goods and services from strategic and key suppliers to support various programmes.

It will be a crucial role which will support upcoming major bids, giving you a fantastic opportunity to develop and build upon your skillset and network in support of your future career goals and ambitions.

Responsibilities:

* Supporting the establishment of supply chain
* Creating and updating of procurement plans
* Placing purchase orders to support product development activities
* Request for Quotation and Subcontract creation and negotiation
* Providing appropriate supply chain related inputs into internal reviews
* Leading and managing supplier response evaluation activities to identify the best value for money Engaging and supporting
* Managing Supply Chain risk and opportunities

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar role preferably within the Defence sector
* The ability to develop Supply Chain strategies to support business objectives and goals
* Previous experience within a supply chain environment
* Proven experience of building and maintaining working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* Experience in negotiation including Terms and Conditions and pricing
