Procurement Director - Ammanford - Permanent - £70,000 DOE

ARM are delighted to be supporting a leading family owned business with the recruitment of a Procurement Director on a permanent basis.

For this high-profile appointment, you will have proven success of strategic and operational Procurement leadership. You need to be commercial, results-driven and a fantastic team-leader with an aptitude to proactively identify new opportunities for development and growth.

Responsibilities:

* The ownership and development of the Procurement strategy for the business.
* Holding the primary relationship with the Company's key suppliers.
* Delivering strategic leadership and promoting a high-performance culture within the Procurement team.
* Identifying opportunities that deliver improvements to productivity and profitability across the business.
* Managing the Company obligation to and value from Industry Buying Group membership.
* Ensuring the Company Price Book delivers best commercial value to the business.
* Collaborative working with other Board Directors to deliver on overall Company Strategy.

Requirements:

* Previous experience in Procurement / Supply Chain Senior Management.
* Strong commercial understanding and a strategic outlook coupled with an analytical approach.
* A proven track-record of excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* A skilled people manager with experience of managing a diverse and inclusive team, including performance management, mentoring and developing team members.
* CIPS qualified would be desirable
