Principal Structural Engineer – Detailed Design in South West London, London

Details of the role:

• Role: Principal Structural Engineer - Detailed Design
• Permanent role
• Hybrid Working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home)
• Office based in South West London
• Salary: Competitive - Open to offers

The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting for an experienced Structural Engineer - with a strong bias in detailed design, to join our client, who are an established Global Leader in Engineering and Construction projects for the Offshore Energy Sector.

What your role will look like:

• To perform detailed design calculations in accordance with company current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).
• To Review/comment and approve Structural drawings for steel structures based upon Engineering Design. To Prepare high quality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures
• To ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with company's policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with company specific procedures.

What do you need to succeed?

• B.Eng, M.Eng, M.Sc in Civil/Structural Engineering
• Relevant offshore energy industry experience with a proven track record of delivering high quality Structural Engineering.
• Detailed design experience
• Ability to apply engineering principals to solve challenging problems and to work effectively within a small team.
• Ability to communicate well in English, both verbally and written

Software:

• MS Excel and hand calculations.
• STADD
• GT STRUDL
