ARM are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mechanical Engineer to work on a permanent basis with a leading client in the Nuclear industry.

What you'll be doing

• Providing the day-to-day management of the technical aspects of allocated projects working with a team of engineers or as an individual.
• Carrying out the peer review of concept designs, 3D CAD scheme designs, detailed manufacturing drawings and design substantiation by hand calculations.
• Providing substantiation (by hand calculation) of engineering designs.
• Providing the production of concept designs, full 3D scheme design and 2D detail design for manufacture within SolidWorks all within the required timescales
• Understanding of GDPR/data protection legislation procedures and requirements in a highly regulated environment.
• Being responsible for your own workplace safety. To demonstrate commitment to health and safety; ensure all statutory obligations are met and the safety of staff, clients and visitors are in line with the UK and European standards

What do you need to succeed?

• Degree qualified within a relevant subject
• Experience working within the Nuclear or Defence industry
• Live SC clearance or the ability to obtain live SC clearance
