Description

NPL NEW - DFiD 19943, A power engineer is required for the PLU Depot and Stabling Project. This is an ongoing project providing depot and stabling facilities for the new PLU trains. These power works service essential systems required for PLU new train introduction and are required to support delivery of Mayoral commitments. PLU train migration delayed if project not resourced. The Engineer is required to support PLU Depot and Stabling infrastructure delivery. The LV Power team are all committed to other works at present. The PLU works have already been delayed due to lack of available resource. The works are required to enable PLU train introduction and would have consequential delays if deferred with commercial impact.

1) DC Traction power design engineers
2) Experience of ETE design on London Underground 4th rail designs or alternatively NR 3rd rail systems.
3) Experience of integrating DC Traction designs with other supporting disciplines i.e co-ordination with Track and Civils designers.
4) Experience of load assessment of equipment/cables

If we are struggling then we can cast the net a little wider and include Railway power engineers with experience of LUL or Network rail power distribution or AC traction distribution. However, please be aware we are not interested E&M/ MEP designers focused on small power or lighting.
