£45,000 - £55,000 DOE + Benefits
My client is seeking a Senior PLD / FPGA Engineer to join a highly skilled team developing advanced electronic systems for Defence and Aerospace applications.
In this role, you?ll take the lead in full lifecycle FPGA development-from requirements capture and VHDL coding through synthesis, simulation, and verification. You?ll help deliver complex digital and mixed-signal solutions across products including augmented reality head-up displays, mission computers, fly-by-wire flight controls, and active inceptors etc.
You?ll work closely with cross-functional engineering teams, manage your own workstreams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to innovation using cutting-edge tools and technique, such as model-based design and UVM(Universal Verification Methodology).
What You?ll Need:
- Degree/HND in Electronics or similar
- Strong FPGA/PLD development experience
- Proficient in VHDL, synthesis, simulation, and verification tools
- Solid grasp of design constraints and system integration
Bonus if you bring:
- Experience with video processing or control algorithms
- Knowledge of UVM and constrained-random verification
- Background in safety-critical or high-integrity systems
