Planning & Regulatory Lawyer in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire

Planning & Regulatory Lawyer -Letchworth- 6 month contract - £42 p/h

ARM are partnering with a government organisation to help them with the recruitment of a Planning & Regulatory Lawyer on an initial 6 month basis.

As a Planning and Regulatory Lawyer, you will carry a mixed caseload with the sole conduct of matters, with emphasis on planning, as well as other a mix of other District - related Regulatory matters.

Responsibilities:
* Undertaking extensive research, providing crucial advice to the Council on planning, regulatory, and local government law.
* Embracing your role as the lead negotiator in complex planning-related transactions.
* Drafting and creating legal documents that shape the Council's business landscape, from planning agreements to enforcement notices and more.
* Attending and advising at Planning Control Committees meetings.
* Providing detailed, and effective management information, including regular case updates.

Requirements:

* Qualified Solicitor or Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
* A 2.2 (and above) Degree in law or equivalent degree and first-time pass in Common Professional Examination (CPE) or Graduate Diploma (GDL) (Law conversions).
* Current practising certificate or eligibility for a current practising certificate.
