We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Piping Engineer, to be involved in an industry leading, cutting-edge project for a new type of power station.

As Piping Engineer you will work within cross functional teams and with the global supply chain to deliver product designs for components within the scope of the role. The role requires that you work to integrate all factors into the design process to define the product definition.

Once you start you will help guide the team through concept design into integration with the global supply chain into a successful delivery of the design.

Key Selection Criteria

1. Experience understanding and knowledge in aspects of piping materials, manufacturing methods, and sizing in order to effectively support integration processes. Understanding piping ancillaries hangers, supports, reducers, and expanders.
2. Knowledge of highly regulated codes ensures that we are fully compliant with industry standards such as ASME III, ASME NF, ISO, DIN, and B31.3 to consistently deliver high-quality components.
3. Experience in supplier liaison and background in product selection to support the collaboration with the supply chain.
4. Working knowledge with concept generation, design evaluations, calculations, product testing, and product manufacture. As such this isn't a CAD role.
5. Ability to produce reports to support product designs, as well as an awareness of product structural integrity, validation, and verification. You also need to understand piping systems and the layouts.

Pay and Benefits

We anticipate paying a salary of between £45k - £55k, plus:-

• Bonus - Performance related bonus of up to 12.5%
• Benefits Allowance - £2200, enabling you to create a bespoke package
• Pension - 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
• Holidays - 28 days holiday (+ public holidays) and the ability to buy or sell up to 4 days
• Private Medical Insurance - BUPA single cover health care
• Life Assurance - 6x pensionable pay
• £250 - One-off payment for new starters for home office purchases
