PermanentAre you as an experienced Passive Safety CAE seeking a new permanent role? We are supporting a permanent position that is Based in Gaydon. Working with one of the most iconic automotive brands in the world.
Responsibilities
* Provide Passive Safety CAE support to programmes, and related method development activities. Deliver predictive analysis for occupant injury (front, side, rear impact), Interior head impact, pedestrian impact.
* Build and maintain an international contemporary competency in passive safety CAE (interiors, trim modelling, restraint systems and occupant injury assessment using LS-DYNA)
* Support cross programme delivery of passive safety CAE using LS-DYNA. Provide additional technical CAE support and guidance for CAE engineers to resolve issues on programmes and develop new techniques
* Provide independent expertise and analysis to support business decisions on passive safety strategy and target setting.
* Act as key interface to the structural CAE team, representing the hardware and software needs of the passive safety team to external service providers
* Organise correlation activities for passive safety simulation on programmes
* Support concept work and archetype development for passive safety systems on future models
* Develop the working methods and practices within Passive Safety CAE to support the delivery of work by Safety CAE engineers
Requirements
* Extensive experience in LS-Dyna Passive Safety CAE Engineering and Development
* Proven leadership experience.
* Excellent knowledge of safety testing and development, FMEA, problem solving.
* Excellent mechanical engineering background and a comprehensive knowledge of Safety systems and development, occupant injury mechanisms and safety attributes.
* Working knowledge of AMPCS / MISSION or similar Product Creation Process.
* Experience of NCAP as well as legislative passive safety requirements and developing trends
* Engineering degree
* Chartered engineer
* Comfortable working under pressure to deadlines and holding others to account
* Able to influence others - even when direct reporting lines are not present
* Creative and courageous to enable achievement of aggressive company targets
