Location: Teesside (with ~20% travel to Kingston office)
Contract: 6-month contract, full-time - Outside IR35 - £500per day
Start date: January 2026
Right to work: Applicants must already hold full and permanent UK right-to-work status (no sponsorship available).
About the Role
As Offshore Methods Lead, you will report to the Installation Methods Manager and play a key role on the BP NEP Project, supporting major Carbon Capture and Net Zero objectives. You will coordinate the methods engineering team, manage workloads, and ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality, and technically robust offshore installation methodologies.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and administer the methods engineering work programme to ensure delivery in line with project plans, design, and specifications.

Oversee the interpretation, implementation, and continual improvement of design solutions.

Supervise the document and records management process through designated staff.

Monitor and coordinate project progress, reviewing technical procedures, calculations, and reports prepared by engineers.

Ensure that deliverables, equipment, facilities, and services comply with required technical and contractual standards.

Manage technical coordination with the Client, including participation in interface meetings.

Coordinate with the vessel's technical lead and provide technical guidance to the offshore installation team.

Ensure all checklists and installation records are completed according to procedures and submitted to the QC Coordinator.

Participate in critical offshore operations to verify adherence to methodology and capture lessons learned.

Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure full compliance with installation requirements.
What We're Looking For
Experience
-
Minimum 10 years' experience in construction methods for pipeline landfall within the Energy or Oil & Gas sectors.
Education
-
Relevant technical degree or diploma.
Certifications
-
OEUK medical certification.
