  • Negotiable Rate Inside IR35
  • Hybrid - Attending Devonport twice per Fortnight.
  • Current SC Clearance Is Mandatory

ARM's Energy Division is seeking Multiple skilled Design Engineers Working Hybrid for our Nuclear Civil client located in the Devonport Dockyard/Plymouth area.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Leading or participating in an engineering team, effectively organizing tasks, and facilitating progress towards objectives.
  • Generating design documentation and supporting assessments, with lead authorship, where required.
  • Developing and executing designs in conformance with the design process (Start-up, Concept, scheme, Detailed, and Implementation phases) and all applicable legislation.
  • Providing directed counsel on design documentation implementation and maintenance, and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and legislation.
  • Conducting quality checks and reviewing services for other engineers, and performing design analyses and related activities, as needed.
  • Acting as a Nuclear Process Group Technical Authority representative by leading on-site visits, and providing guidance, and leadership to contract personnel, as necessary.
  • Providing technical support and maintenance for the nuclear process equipment throughout its operational life.
  • Offering technical support, advice, guidance, and solutions for studies, design reviews, HAZOPS, etc.

Do you need to succeed?

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical engineering principles for the design, operation, and maintenance of pressure/pipework systems.
  • Proficiency in the design lifecycle process.
  • Familiarity with the applicable regulations, legislation, and standards within the nuclear process and pressure system design.
  • Pressure systems.
  • Computer-aided design.
  • Component engineering simulation.
  • System fluid flow analysis.
  • Nuclear plant design.
