Non-Destructive Evaluation Research and Development Engineer

Advanced Resource Managers are currently working with a leading client within the Nuclear industry who seek a Non-Destructive Evaluation Research and Development Engineer to join their team.

What you'll be doing:

Within this role you will provide strong guidance, leadership and direction to the Main Site HSE Adviser and the Conventional Safety, Culture and Health Manager.

• Technical leadership of one or more projects, including planning and budgeting.
• Delivery of projects to time, cost, and quality.
• Production of technical reports, presentation of your work, and dissemination of key results to stakeholders across the company.

Who we are seeking:

• A degree in mathematics, physics or a related discipline
• A strong familiarity with a high-level scripting language (e.g., MATLAB or Python).
• Good modelling experience such as Finite Element Method.
• The ability to work in a highly technical environment, in multidisciplinary teams and to tight deadlines.
• You will be enthusiastic about research and development and will be comfortable undertaking a range of tasks.

Desirable

• A postgraduate level research degree.
• NDE related modelling experience (e.g., CIVA).
• Experience of conducting experiments and trials in a lab environment.
• Experience of NDE techniques or detection and imaging techniques in other fields.
