My client is a global consultancy who are growing an in-house Murex practice and are looking for a Murex Reporting Stream Lead to bring their expertise to a key client.
Oversight of all Murex 3.1 Reporting work undertaken by the team for Murex Change activities at the client.
Working with senior delivery colleagues on activities related to the account, including staffing queries, RFI/RFP responses and pipeline management.
Managing the cross-regional reporting stream covering design, analysis, build, testing & deployment of Murex 3.1 Datamart changes in key Murex areas including: Front Office, P&L, Cash Balance & Control, Risk, and Regulatory requirements.
Coordinating the work effort of the stream and using JIRA to ensure effective prioritisation of build, unit testing, defect resolution and project support.
Demonstrating strong technical skills of Murex 3.1 Datamart development to be able to lead by example, and having a "hands-on" approach to ensure work is completed as required.
Conducting daily reporting stream stand-ups, regular sprint planning sessions and backlog refinement in line with an Agile delivery approach.
Liaising with key stakeholders and senior management on development progress and consultation on risks, issues & mitigation strategies.
Participating in regular senior project management meetings with the client to report on delivery progress, development status and issues.
What experience you'll bring:
Significant experience in Reporting development in Murex v3.1.38 or higher, including design & development best practice in feeders, extractions, dataset management, processing scripts, error handling, troubleshooting and parallel processing tools
Good understanding of financial markets and products, including Fixed Income, IRD, CRD, EQD, FX, FX Options, Equities and Commodities
Experience in a support or development environment, preferably at a bank or other financial institution
Solid Murex 3.1 experience (Datamart as well as MxML Exchange, eTradepad, Simulation/Livebook, Market Data, GOM)
Experience in working with a multi-entity Murex setup with differing EOD reporting and scheduling demands across each entity
Strong SQL skills (Sybase/Oracle) - writing queries and working with large amounts of data
Good Unix/Linux skills - troubleshooting & scripting
Experience with change management & change control
Understanding of Agile & Kanban methodologies
Knowledge of testing frameworks
Adherence to ITIL principles
