My client are looking for a Mobile Application Tester to join their fast-paced team on an initial 6 month contract.
Job Summary:
As a Mobile Application Tester, it will be your job to check that our apps run smoothly and efficiently on different mobile operating systems including iOS and Android.
Responsibilities:
* Make sure all the features, performance, and security of mobile applications are thoroughly tested by creating and running detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
* Perform extensive manual and automated testing of mobile applications on several platforms, including iOS and Android.
* Find and reproduce bugs together with developers and other interested parties, and try to fix them as soon as possible.
* To guarantee the best possible performance and user experience, mobile apps must be tested on a wide range of hardware, software, and network configurations.
* Use Selenium, and other popular frameworks and technologies for mobile app testing to save time and effort throughout the testing phase.
* Verify mobile apps by comparing them to predetermined criteria and documenting any discrepancies you find.
* Conduct performance tests to see how well mobile apps respond, hold up, and scale under different loads and stresses.
* Work with development teams to deploy proper security measures after identifying vulnerabilities through security testing.
Technical Requirements:
* Strong proficiency in mobile application testing on both iOS and Android platforms, including testing of native, hybrid, and web-based applications.
* In-depth understanding of mobile testing methodologies, techniques, and best practices, such as black-box testing, white-box testing, and grey-box testing.
* Extensive experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts for mobile applications, using industry-standard tools and frameworks, such as, Selenium, and others.
* Proven expertise in identifying, reproducing, and resolving defects in mobile applications, and working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
* Strong knowledge of mobile application architectures, components, and frameworks, and ability to assess application performance, stability, and security.
* Proficiency in conducting compatibility testing of mobile applications on different devices, operating systems, and network conditions, to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
* Experience in performance testing, including load testing, stress testing, and performance profiling of mobile applications using appropriate tools and techniques.
* Familiarity with security testing concepts, including identifying potential vulnerabilities, such as OWASP Top Ten Mobile Risks, and implementing appropriate security measures in mobile applications.
* Knowledge of mobile app deployment processes, including app store submissions, provisioning profiles, certificates, and versioning.
