Mechanical Maintenance Technician in Cardiff

Our client is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join their team in the Cardiff area on a permanent basis.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance of all equipment and machinery.
* Provide technical, hands-on support for machinery and equipment breakdowns.
* Completing and logging engineering helpdesk tasks.
* Manufacture copper welding electrodes, pins, jigs and fixtures as required.
* Provide technical support for Gemba innovation and engineering projects.

The ideal candidate should have:
* Technical problem-solving skills.
* Ability to adapt and communicate in a style appropriate to any individual or situation.
* Resilience - leads through change.
* Team player spirit.
* Experience in the use of workshop machines, including Lathe and Milling machines.
* Excellent mechanical problem-solving skills.
* Ability to read mechanical technical drawings.
* Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
* A flexible approach relating to working hours.
* Be self-motivated.
* Ability to work at height, or within enclosed spaces.

Working hours are 07:30-16:30 Monday-Thursday and 07:30-12:15 Friday.
Our client is willing to pay £30.000 per annum for the right candidate.
