Mechanical Engineer – Chargehand in Wickford, Essex

The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Mechanical Engineer Chargehand to join our Expanding Engineering client, to be based out of Wickford, Essex.

What you will be doing:

As a Field Service 'working' Chargehand you will be required to perform site maintenance at customer sites and lead and manage mechanical teams during day-to-day operations and outages

Some of your duties will include:

• Mechanical repairs and maintenance to rotating equipment such as large turbines, an array of pumps, BFW multi-stage. Additionally, auxiliary and BOP equipment such as gearboxes, coolers, conveyors, and valves

• Perform mechanical maintenance; proficient in the use of measuring equipment such as micrometers, DTI's, and alignment tooling

• To communicate on a technical level both verbally and written to peers and customers.

What do you need to succeed?

• A full driving license

• Mechanical time-served and indentured to ONC & HNC, NVQ, or equivalent qualifications.

• To mechanically undertake and complete Workshop and Field Service activities inclusive of reporting detailing findings, condition assessments, critical tolerances, actions taken, and recommendations
