The Energy Division at ARM is currently recruiting an experienced Civil Engineer to join a globally leading client with a new and exciting role for a Civil Engineer, to be based out of Sellafield.

Job Overview:

This project is one of the most important construction projects at the Sellafield Site, the plant will play a vital role in Sellafield's 100-year clean-up programme by taking nuclear waste recovered from the sites original waste plants and encasing it in concrete so it can be stored in a modern building.

The project will safely design and deliver a Plant and the works in accordance with the requirements of the contract to enable the conditioning of wastes from the various donor plants, carried out in line with the Employer's needs and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Management and coordination of all the elements of mechanical plant and equipment installation.
  • Liaising with Logistics Team and Supply Chain to ensure safe and efficient delivery of equipment and materials to site.
  • Supporting the development of look-ahead's based on the programme and milestones.
  • Coordinating plant and equipment installation.
  • Reviewing and reporting the weekly progress against the programme with the M, E & I Installation Manager.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience of fulfilling a mechanical engineering role on Construction projects.
  • Formal qualification in Mechanical Engineering, (minimum HNC).
  • Good knowledge of Mech Engineering practices and ability to follow drawings and specifications.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Experience of Sellafield procedures an advantage.
