Manual Grinder/Turner/Miller in Fareham, Hampshire

Our client is looking for a Manual Machinist with Grinding, Turning and Milling experience in the Fareham area.

Ideally, you will have:
* Previous experience with surface grinders and universal grinders, manual mills and manual lathes and the occasional power press and fly press.
* Good written communication and verbal communication skills.
* Good team player skills and also self-motivated to work as an individual.
* Ability to complete work accurately and thoroughly, meeting required timescales.
* Ability to read engineering drawings.
* Well-organised, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task.
* Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
* Ability to ensure a high level of service and quality is maintained.
* Ability to learn and take on new skills.
* ONC or equivalent in a mechanical engineering discipline but relevant experience would be an advantage.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
* Manual grinding/Surface grinding and the use of a universal grinder.
* Manual turning of mainly in process parts some manual milling and Press work.
* Other machining and intricate work as required in other departments.
* Second operation activities such as deburring.
* General housekeeping activities, Lean 6S and planned maintenance activities.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 37 hours per week, working hours being 8:00 - 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 8:00 - 13:00 Friday.
Our client is willing to pay in the £30,000 per annum area.
