Working for one of the leading Online Estate Agencies, you will be reporting to the Head of Finance and working closely with the Management Accounts Assistant and, at times, Senior Reporting Analyst, this interim yet critical role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced qualified accountant with good financial, analytical and communication skills to join a fast-paced high growth Proptech business that is set to fundamentally disrupt the Estate Agency industry.

You will be expected to manage the finance reporting requirements, from month end management accounts to assisting with the budgeting and forecasting process. There will also be opportunities to provide commercial finance support to functional leaders by helping identify savings opportunities to improve unit economics. A new accounting system is expected to be implemented in Q4 and the management accountant will have an important role in its successful implementation

You will be part of a team seeking to become a best-in-class Finance function.

Requirements
Preparing month end reporting pack
Support of the company's forecasting and budgeting process
Year end audit
Mentoring the Finance Assistant
Assisting departments (such as HR) with ad hoc requests.
Preparation of Vat returns
Accountancy qualification equivalent (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
Experience of producing accurate monthly reporting with a 5 day turnaround.
Experience of forecasting and budget preparation
Able to produce and understand Financial Statements.
Experience of year end processes and external audit ensuring internal set deadlines are met.
Preparation on VAT returns
Ability to understand, quickly, business processes and reporting requirements.
Good Excel/Googlesheet skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills in a business partnering function
Flexibility and 'can-do attitude
Desirable

Chartered Accountant background with previous experience in a tech/retail business
Experience of managing staff
Experience of systems implementation.
