Management Accountant in Poole, Dorset

Management Accountant - Poole (hybrid) - Permanent - £40,000
ARM are delighted to be hiring for a Management Accountant to join one of our clients based in Poole on a permanent basis.

To provide the best financial information and support to internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities
* Production of monthly management and assisting with annual statutory accounts
* Preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Preparation of financial reports and liaison with budget holders and other stakeholders external to finance to discuss and review
* Manage workload, delivery and development of assistant management accountants
* Balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with best practice
* Journal processing, including ensuring the correct accounting of accruals and prepayments
* Review of assistant management accounts work to ensure accuracy
* Interrogation of financial systems to identify errors and make corrections
* Variance analysis

Requirements
* Qualified member of or studying towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) is desirable.
* The role is suitable for a qualified accountant, or in the absence of professional qualifications five to ten years of relevant experience.
* Strong all-round IT skills with expert level excel skills is essential.
* Experience and knowledge of specialist financial systems is desirable.
* Ability to analyse, interpret and present information clearly and concisely.
* Some staff management experience is desirable.
