Lead Test Engineer in Whiteley, Hampshire

A leading IT/Communications client of ours is currently in the market for a contract Senior Test Engineer to come on board out of their Whiteley office. In the role you will be responsible for the testing process and ensure the methodical procedure of the project. You will also be responsible for the testability of the specifications for customer projects and product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Planning, calculating and defining methodical testing procedures for projects and product development.
• Creating test schedules and ensuring that the testing specifications are complete.
• Analysing, defining and planning the testing environment.
• Analysing the project and product development process with regard to possible potential for improvement.
• Reporting test status and progress based on the respective key figures internally and externally.
• Conduct of test activities as defined in the various test procedure books.
• Mentoring junior test engineers

Experience & Knowledge required:

• Extensive Test experience in both classical & agile development environments
• Knowledge of Air Traffic Management domain supporting safety critical products/ projects.
• Practical/ hands on experience of a variety test tools e.g., Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analysers, Traffic Loading Tools, WAN Emulation Tools etc...
• Experience implementing testing strategies, schedules & Testing Techniques.
• Knowledge of JAMA/Jira would be an advantage.
