Software QA/Test Engineer
12 Month Contract
Bristol - 100% onsite
£80ph OUTSIDE IR35

We are looking for a Software QA/Test Engineer to join the team on a contractual basis. The team works in an Agile environment so you will be heavily involved in the stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings. You will help shape the testing strategy and implementation. Develop the implementation, software testing, and quality assurance process to include test automation and security testing, and ensure the appropriate amount of test plans & other documentation is created.

You will be responsible for -
Collaborating with other professionals to ensure appropriate test coverage.
Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines
Creating a practical & proportional approach to test design.
Planning and conducting user acceptance testing with key stakeholders including product owners.
Developing test scenarios, cases, and scripts for multiple applications and software.
Undertake manual testing, ensuring that defects are detected, documented and resolved before release.

Key Skills & Experience we are looking for -
Demonstrating experience using a wide variety of coding languages.
Experience working in an agile environment or of software verification/validation experience.
Knowledge and experience of testing cloud-hosted back-end systems using mainstream tools.
Great analytical skills and the QA/Test mind-set to ask the right questions.
Familiarity of test automation frameworks and writing code.
Ability to identify research and implement effective testing techniques and tools.
