Lead Hardware Engineer in Luton, Bedfordshire

PermanentMy Client is looking for a Lead Hardware Engineer. In this role, you'll drive innovation and excellence in product development.
Your responsibilities include:
- Active participation in continuous improvement initiatives
- Capturing, specifying, and managing design requirements
- Designing and developing new products, including verification and validation (V&V)
- Advancing electronics design capabilities within the department
- Supporting robust design reviews
- Ensuring adherence to best practices (Design to Cost, Design for Manufacture, Design for Test, cost and time-to-market)
- Contributing to defining product roadmaps
- Providing technical support to Sales, Marketing, and Operations and supporting the Bid phase
Qualifications:
- Relevant Engineering Degree (Electronics)
- Experience in high and low-volume product development
- Analog and digital electronic development expertise (regulated markets with standards adherence and certification)
Skills:
- Independent working ability, when required
- Six-Sigma background is beneficial
- Excellent process and product documentation skills
