Profile Summary
To provide project management on IT investment projects and workstreams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Overall project management of assigned small-medium IT projects including without limitation preparation of the project charter, project schedule (Gantt chart), project organisation chart, project budget application, quality management and system release documentation.
- Work with business sponsors, PMO and HO liaison teams to build out business cases/ROI allowing for projects to be prioritised and launched locally or with Head Office.
- Ensure projects are tracked and delivered to meet business requirements, on time against project milestones and within approved budget.
- Deployment and release coordination.
- Preparation and reporting to Project Steering Committees, IT Senior Management and C-Suite level stakeholders where required for the project.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across multiple offices and regions.
- Managing internal and external resources in a matrix organisation project structure.
- Vendor management including negotiating statements of work, contracts and service level agreements.
- Identification and management of risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions ensuring the correct actions are taken and escalating when required.
- Ensure alignment to the End of Life (EOL) Policy, including correct logging in:
- Archer, Orbus
- Provide structured inputs into Technology Risk dashboards and ensure EOL statuses are fully transparent across systems.
- Combine data from Orbus and Archer to produce accurate EOL summaries.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in delivering IT projects/programmes.
- Relevant Project management qualification (APM, PMP etc).
- Good understanding and experience of end-to-end project management methodologies including waterfall and agile (Scrum and Kanban ceremonies).
- Experience leading End of Life/technology risk remediation initiatives.
- Knowledge of risk frameworks, manual controls, and system remediation approaches.
- Familiarity with:
- Technology governance.
- Logging and reporting tools (Archer, Orbus, ServiceNow).
- Highly analytical, able to assess system risks, apply criticality frameworks, and challenge prioritisation decisions.
- Sound knowledge of IT functions.
- Understanding of financial market products.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong decision making skills.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Proven ability to work in high pressured environments.
