ARM is actively seeking a German-speaking Indirect Category Buyer, to join a prestigious client based in Peterborough on an initial 12-month contract.

Responsibilities
* Accountable for liaising with Business Unit leadership and stakeholders. Supporting the delivery of the facilities business objectives while maintaining cost efficient and high-quality supply base.
* Operating and maintaining the Indirect Purchasing functions, as designed, to meet the defined response time, cost, quality, and lean targets enabling optimal and efficient facility operations, collaborating with business partners and suppliers, and resolving facility specific supplier issues.
* Act as liaison with corresponding Category & Supply Chain professionals.
* Supplier Development - Identify performance gaps within the supply base specific to the Business Unit and develop improvement plans for the identified gaps.
* Sourcing - Leading the selection process and commercial negotiation for a variety of strategic indirect services and materials. A focus on establishing long term and mutually beneficial relationships.
* Purchase Order Management - Providing counsel to requesters of the most appropriate transactional platform. Promoting best practice and supporting requesters with technical queries throughout the Procure to Pay process.

Requirements
* Relevant experience working within a purchasing function, specifically a 'Buying' focused role,
* Confidence in creating reports, databases, and presentations within MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
* Strong data analytical skills
* Expert communicator: proficient in building collaborative and trusted partnerships to work across an internal matrix organization and external Supplier network.
* Demonstrated experience working in a purchasing function within a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of Quality, Lean manufacturing, an understanding of lean principles
