About the Role:

ARM Maritime is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading company in innovative engineering solutions for the marine sector. This company, born from high-performance applications within performance yacht racing, is at the forefront of developing world-class products aimed at decarbonizing the marine industry.

We are currently seeking a talented Hydraulic Systems Engineer to join their team. In this role, you'll work alongside the Lead Hydraulics Engineer to design, validate, and test cutting-edge hydraulic systems for a variety of groundbreaking projects. These projects span commercial, leisure, and shipping sectors, with a shared mission of reducing the marine industry's carbon footprint.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborative Design: Work with a small, dynamic team to develop hydraulic systems for various marine industry sectors.
System Design & Specification: From creating schematics to 3D modeling and manufacturing drawings of manifolds and other components.
Documentation & Validation: Produce supporting documentation and calculations, and model hydraulic systems with Simcenter AMEsim for system validation.
Development & Testing: Lead the development and testing of hydraulic systems, ensuring they meet project specifications.
Supplier Management: Oversee supplier selection and management to ensure quality and efficiency.
Technical Support: Provide commissioning and technical support for vessels.

What We're Looking For:
Higher education in Fluid Power, Mechanical, Electrical, Control Systems, or a related field.
NFPC (or equivalent) Hydraulics Training (training can be provided for the right candidate).
Strong understanding of industrial and mobile hydraulic systems and components.
Knowledge of mechanical systems and experience with CAD design, preferably Siemens NX.
Experience creating hydraulic schematics and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Hands-on experience with hydraulic systems and a strong safety mindset.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to travel.

Bonus Skills:
Experience with Simcenter AMEsim simulation software.
Knowledge of the marine industry, classification societies, electrical systems, or PLC systems.
Experience with EPlan ECAD.
