Highways Electrician in Basingstoke, Hampshire

We're looking for an experienced Highways / Street Lighting Electrician to join a reliable, steadily growing contractor working on a mix of highways maintenance, upgrades and improvement schemes across the UK.

What you'll be doing

• Street lighting maintenance, repairs and LED upgrades
• Column installs, replacements and isolations
• SWA jointing/terminations and cut‑out upgrades
• Electrical testing, inspection and fault‑finding
• Working on highways and local authority schemes as part of a small, dependable team
• Some night work and occasional working away (accommodation provided)

The work is varied but familiar - proper hands‑on highways electrical work alongside a team that knows the job.

What you need

• HERS ECS card (essential)
• Experience in highways or street‑lighting electrical work
• G39, 18th Edition, IPAF, 714/2391
• A good attitude, safety‑first mindset and reliability
• Willingness to pick up nights or stay away when a project requires it

Location

Ideally based between Watford - Heathrow - Southampton, or up towards Northampton / Birmingham.
