HGV Vehicle Transporter / Recovery Driver in Chichester, West Sussex

Our client is looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver in the Chichester area.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver with experience of using a spec lift.

Duties will include:
Following predefined routes for vehicle collections.
Inspecting vehicles to ensure they match description, including scanning for fault codes.
Loading broken down vehicles from private addresses- sometimes with poor access.
Communicating with Head Office on vehicle conditions.
Loading and unloading a variety of vehicles in all conditions.
Adhering to driving regulations.

For this role you will need:
A current HGV license.
Good mechanical knowledge and an interest in cars.
Previous motor trade experience.
A can do attitude in challenging recovery situations and poor access.
Reliability with excellent timekeeping.

This role will require you to stay in the sleeper cab of the truck overnight on occasion.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 40 hours per week. Basic salary from £38,000 (dependent on experience and skills) plus performance related bonus - OTE £65.000 pa.
