Are you an experienced Business Development professional? Do you have extensive understanding of drug development and regulatory processes? If you have a proven track record of successful client acquisition and external representation for service providers in the pharmaceutical industry we would love to hear from you!

We are recruiting for a Head of Business Development on behalf of a leading Regulatory Consultancy based in Munich on a permanent basis. Our client offers full flexibility to manage your own workload within a professional and friendly working environment that is truly unique.

The successful candidate will drive revenue growth through identification and acquisition of new clients but also contribute to the global presence of the company, and contribute to identification and establishment of new business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the company?s business development strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Identification and acquisition of new clients.
  • Identify, build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies and research institutions.
  • Identify and implement new business opportunities for client-focused service activities, in close collaboration with all company experts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with all company internal functions to support business initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.
  • Report on business development activities to senior management.
  • Travel internationally as required to meet partners, attend industry events, and support global business initiatives.
  • Focus is on clients in EU, US and Asia.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Life Sciences, advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in pharma/biotech drug development, including understanding of drug development and regulatory processes.
  • Proven track record of successful client acquisition and external representation for service providers in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously under time constraints, excellent prioritisation skills.
  • Fluent in English (German language skills are a plus but not mandatory).
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis.
