Advanced Resource Managers are excited to support the UK's multi-award winning and market-leading structural steelwork fabricator, to hire an Estimator for their infrastructure / bridges division. You will be part of a collective team of industry experts to shape and deliver the UK's highest-profile structural steel bridge infrastructure projects.

You will produce competitive tenders for bridge projects within the UK & Europe, both major projects and framework-led projects for the UK's leading civil engineering contractors. You will ideally have a background in Estimating, with knowledge of the structural steel fabrication sector, pricing works to include materials, fabrication, labour, transportation/logistics and quality control/quality assurance amongst other factors. You would ideally have knowledge of the NSSS (National Structural Steelwork Specifications). Industry-specific software such as Tekla/StruCAD would be advantageous, along with knowledge of DMRB (Design Manual for Roads & Bridges) but again, is not essential to be considered for the role. Training and development will be provided.

Essential Skills

- Estimating background ideally in structural steel
- Track record of work winning via tendering process
- Educated to HNC/HND level in construction or commercial
- Client facing
- Ability to produce competitive tenders for bridge projects
- Ability to liaise and forge strong relationships with other departments personnel, proactively, such as production, quality, design/detailing, project management team

Desirable Skills

- Knowledge of NSSS (National Structural Steelwork Specifications)
- Knowledge of DMRB/Civil Engineering & bridge building
- Tekla/Strucad/Strubeam/Navisworks/Autocad
