Advanced Resource Managers are excited to support one of the UK's largest steelwork fabricators, in hiring an Estimator for their long-established secondary steel and architectural metalwork division. You will be part of a collective team of industry experts to shape and deliver secondary steel and metalwork projects throughout the UK, delivering steel stairs, metalwork, fire escapes, walkways, hand rails, and more.

You will produce competitive tenders for secondary steelwork and metalwork projects within the UK. You will ideally have a background in Estimating, with knowledge of the structural steel fabrication sector, pricing works to include materials, fabrication, labour, transportation/logistics and quality control/quality assurance amongst other factors.

Industry specific software such as Tekla/StruCAD would be advantageous, or a shop-floor background in fabrication. Training and development will be provided.

Required Skills

- Estimating background ideally in structural steel / secondary steel / architectural metalwork
- Track record of work winning via the tendering process
- Ability to estimate from first principal, and the ability to take off from engineers drawings
- Educated to HNC/HND level in construction or commercial or similar
- Client-facing ability
- Ability to liaise and forge strong relationships with other department personnel, proactively, such as production, quality, design/detailing and the project management team
