We are working with an established company in the Yatton area. They are recruiting for a Engineering Department Supervisor to work for them on a permanent basis.
Our client is looking for someone with at least 5 year experience in a tool room. Knowledge of CAD software, including Inventor and AutoCAD. Understanding of manufacturing processes and ability to understand and interpret technical drawings, geometric tolerances and specifications. Capable of working accurately, calmly and effectively under pressure and to tight deadline. Good organisational and communication skills with good interpersonal skills, with experience of building professional relationships across the business.
Duties to include:
Overseeing the manufacture of punch tool and crimping prototype systems and developing existing tooling designs. Monitoring of CNC systems such as Heidenhaim, Siemens and Fanuc to produce quality machined parts and tooling while working with set procedures and tolerances. Monitoring and improving processes throughout the department, making sure that work is done safely, efficiently and to a good standard. Assist with recruitment, training and performance management. Ensure all staff are trained developed, motivated and know what is expected of them. Assist with the maintaining and driving of KPIs, objectives and targets and review performance. Monitor, measure and report on machine performance ensuring that continuous improvement principles are instilled to continually improve productivity. Monitoring first off checks and prototype prove out processes to ensure all relevant checks and paperwork are completed. Adhere to all risk assessments, safe systems of work, standard operating procedures and environmental practices. Ensure quality standards are achieved and maintained throughout the department. Maintain Health & Safety standards in accordance with policy while constantly prioritising the safety of the workforce.
Working hours are 8:00AM - 4:00PM (Monday - Friday).
Salary is £30,700 - £34,000 depending on experience.
