Engine Program Manager in Gaydon, Warwickshire

Job Purpose:
To be the figurehead of your Engine Program, leading the Powertrain Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Manufacturing, Quality and Supplier Partner teams in the delivery the Engineering, Sourcing and Assembly planning of a new high performance V8 engine.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
* Be the figurehead of your PT Program, ensuring on-cost, on-time and on-budget delivery of all Engine Attributes, Systems and Commodities, leading interaction with PT seniors and the Vehicle team
* Maintenance of PT content definition of the program, including commodity carryover v's new planning
* Cascade of program rationale and targets into the wider Engine organisation
* Ensure Lessons learned from previous projects are being appropriately applied
* Track commodity development (including definition, design, test and release) ensuring robust delivery from the respective teams
* Lead the Engine Programme meeting cadence and reporting both internally to PT and outwardly to Vehicle team customers and the highest levels of Aston Martin Management
* Run the Engine Program plan, delivering robust gateway process, reporting to Head of PT Programmes & Director of PT Hardware
* Support receiving vehicle gateways with required information, ensuring timely and robust delivery and supporting vehicle timing plans
* Track Purchasing activity to ensure support of Engine delivery both in terms of timing and costs
* Build and Manage the Engine Program budget (alongside finance team) covering tooling, material costs, engineering and manufacturing, ensuring that financial status is always clear and on track
* Issue resolution and arbitration within Engine Engineering teams and across wider Powertrain and Vehicle application

Qualification & Experience:
* Previous experience of delivering technical Engine programs
* Experience of leading a cross functional team, including complex issue resolution ability, risk evaluation and decision making
* Knowledge of Product Development Processes including scoping, requirements, sourcing, design verification, system integration, tooling, releasing and production part approval
* Good Engineering background and solid knowledge engineering principles, ideally with a good background in Automotive
* Knowledge of automotive quality processes (as a minimum 8D, and ideally APQP or similar)
* Supplier management experience
* High performance Powertrain application, especially Hybrid & Electrified PT
* Cost reduction program experience
* International working experience
* Engine Assembly and Test experience
* Engineering Degree or equivalent
* Experience of Program Management
* APM/Prince2/PMi
