Electrical Design Engineer in Aldermaston, Berkshire

• Hybrid Role - 2 days on-site per week in Aldermaston
• Other: MUST have valid SC/ DV clearance

The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join a world-leading, nuclear defence client.

Some of your duties will include:

• Deliver electrical / control and instrumentation designs that address defined requirements, across the full engineering lifecycle, to a high standard.
• Ensure the design intent is maintained throughout the lifecycle, liaising with other discipline areas to ensure overall design intent is maintained.
• Ensure compliance with Company Assurance Environment, Safety, Health and Quality (ESH&Q) and statutory requirements.

• Ensure application of standards is proportionate and that engineering best practice is adopted.
• Elevate areas of concern to the relevant Principal Engineer.

What do you need to succeed?

• ONC / OND or equivalent in electrical engineering or other related discipline.
• HNC / HND or equivalent in electrical engineering or other related discipline.
• Knowledge of legislation and standards associated with nuclear and / or high hazard facilities.
• Producing control and instrumentation designs as part of a multi-discipline design team.
• Experience of working in a highly regulated environment (preferably nuclear and / or explosives).
