These systems must meet rigorous safety standards and specifications.

As an Electrical Build Engineer, effective communication and teamwork will be essential. You will work cross-departmentally to ensure projects are delivered smoothly, providing technical feedback and suggestions for improvement. Your primary responsibility will be to build and test electrical systems accurately and efficiently.

You will need to be a proactive problem solver with a strong understanding of industrial safety systems. The role also requires travel to client sites for the installation and commissioning of automation systems, so a willingness to travel is important.

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be British citizens and able to obtain security clearance up to Developed Vetting (DV) level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and critically assess technical electrical drawings.
  • Build, test, and validate electromechanical automation systems.
  • Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure project success.
  • Identify and resolve electrical faults, implementing effective solutions.
  • Travel to client sites for system installations across a range of sectors, including defence.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualifications: HNC in an electrical-focused discipline, electrical apprenticeship, or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical electrical drawings with confidence.
  • Technical Aptitude: A keen interest in learning new technologies and understanding industrial systems, particularly safety systems.
  • Problem Solving: Proactive, independent thinker with the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Full UK driving licence.
    • Ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English.
    • Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
    • Willingness to travel for on-site installations.

What the Company Offers:

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Flexible working environment.
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
  • Occupational sick pay.
  • Company pension scheme.
  • Free parking.
  • Friendly and supportive workplace culture.
