PermanentDirector of Service Practices is a pivotal role in our clients Managed Services' Divisional strategy. Having both great technical proficiency and commercial acumen, the Director of Service Practices guides our expert teams to devise, deliver and support world-class technical solutions for our managed service customers.
The Director of Services Practices manages the following Service Practices - Service Desk Operations, Cloud, Cyber Security, Modern Workplace, Application Modernisation and Digital Innovation. It is expected that you'll have expertise in at least two of these areas.
You'll be accountable for the pipeline of technical people, knowledge and skills underpinning our Managed Services' deliveries and our future strategy. You'll also identify and implement the future technical capabilities that enable our strategic goals.
Experience and knowledge
- Able to demonstrate technical background and expertise in least 2 of our Service Practices (Service Desk Operations, Cloud, Cyber Security, Modern Workplace, Application Management and Digital Innovation).
- Knowledge and understanding of emerging technologies in the digital data landscape.
- Significant people management experience including successfully building, motivating, and managing large technical teams. Experience of an in-house multidisciplinary, client facing environment is advantageous.
- Significant experience of successfully delivering multiple large and complex services and projects simultaneously, in a client facing environment.
- Previous managed services experience is advantageous.
- Proven track record of managing multiple priorities and risk, whilst looking for opportunities to innovate and streamline.
- Proven track record of developing strong working relationships at all organisational levels and gaining credibility with both technical and customer communities.
- Proven track record of good commercial acumen: specifically, the ability to apply technical knowledge to increase efficiency/sales/new markets/reduce risk etc.
- Commitment to using data and insights to monitor progress and make informed decisions.
- Experience of contributing to the planning and delivery of new propositions and business strategy.
This positon is Remote with travel expected in the UK (South East). Also some internation travel will be required.
