The Energy Division at ARM are currently recruiting an experienced Design Manager to join a world-leading, nuclear defence client based out of Devonport dockyard.

Job Overview:

Our client provides major new or upgraded dock, berth and building infrastructure projects to provide facilities for the ship and submarine sustainment programs.

Some of your duties will include:

• Management of the multidisciplinary design elements of the
  buildings, ensuring designer technical performance, and making appropriate technical responses.
• Provide Subject Matter Expert advice.
• Provide Technical design guidance and review of the overall design packages including safety functional requirements as defined in the Safety Case.
• Provide Technical design guidance and review integration of the designs with other design packages
• Ensuring effective Quality Management Arrangements operate and deliver through compliance with Babcock's Business Management System and Technical Manual to ensure the appropriate Design Assurance is completed

What do you need to succeed?

• Design and construction experience of major new industrial buildings with multifunctionality - workshops, storage, offices etc.
• Experience on high hazard facilities in the nuclear sector or hospitals such as X-ray facilities preferable
• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering
