Data Migration Tester (Security Cleared)
3 Months initial contract
Hybrid - 2 Days per week in South-west London
£535 per day (Inside IR35)

To be submitted for this role the candidate must hold current SC Clearance and be a British National

The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of Salesforce and ideally some experience using Provar (Testing tool).

Skills

What we expect:
* Define, together with the Product Owner, the acceptance criteria at both the story and the system level
* Write end to end tests (manually) proving the system works, and define test cases based on the test scenarios
* Understanding of automated testing and release processes
* Test newly developed data migration software, building tests from understanding of the Source and Target data models and the data Transformation process
* Problem solve and capture clear defects utilising tools (SQL, Python) to analyse results (CSV files, Json, Spread sheet)
* Rapidly build knowledge and use of Salesforce Work Bench and Developer console to prove data correctly landed in Target data model
* Working with Git repositories and workflows (GitHub would be the primary choice but also GitLab or Bitbucket will be beneficial)
* Prioritise and track defect reports through to conclusion
* Understand the design and the implementation details and assess the affected areas and risk areas that the implementation can introduce
* Perform Sanity, Regression testing in an agile environment with continuous integration and deployment of new releases
* Write detailed defect descriptions and work with developers to prioritise and assign bugs depending on the business impact and severity on timelines to test and go live
* Experience testing API and UI functionality in a commercial environment
* Able to use initiative and work within an agile framework within sprints or work effectively in a waterfall environment
* Ability to execute testing tasks independently, yet work collaboratively within the team on major decisions and respond to high-level guidance & support
* Create a culture of transparency, ownership, collaboration, accountability and quality
* Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders including release managers, test leads, and other suppliers and stakeholders.
* Good communications skills and ability to articulate the impact of defects to non-technical stakeholders
* Be an advocate of Quality Assurance, Continuous Improvement and industry recognized Best Practices.
* Work closely with Product Owner's and developers to agree test cases and their acceptance criteria.
* Passion for great technology and user experience

* Experience of building test automation within frameworks
* Coding experience (SOLID, DI, Design Patterns, etc.)
* Mocks and stubs

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* ISTQB Foundation (or higher) or equivalent
* Experience of a wide range of SLDC methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile Scrum, Kanban, behavioural-driven development (BDD), and continuous integration
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Experience of translating business requirements into legible, complete, executable test cases
* Experience of creating and executing test cases with relevant focus and context (System Test, Integration Test, UAT etc)
* Experience of testing Business Processes
* Experience of testing APIs
* Experience with using test and defect management tools (JIRA, HPALM etc)
* Experience of using test tools such as cucumber, postman, gatling etc
