The Customer Care & Payments Assistant is responsible for delivering professional customer service through the processing of invoices with a high level of accuracy and adhering to strict time scales to ensure client needs are met. They are also responsible for resolving contractor queries in a timely fashion.
What you'll be doing
Your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Name all invoices accurately received by email, and efficiently process within a specified time frame
- Check and match all invoices and time sheets via ETZ
- Check, match and process contractor expenses in line with contract terms
- Issue remittance advice
- Respond to all internal and external AP related queries in an effective time period and provide assistance where required
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with all relevant parties in an efficient and professional manner
- Establish and maintain excellent customer relations with all internal and external stakeholders, customers and clients
- To manage a large amount of incoming calls and emails and take the extra mile to engage and help your customers.
About you
We're looking for someone who enjoys providing a great customer experience (both internal and external), working in a friendly, close-knit team, and has a strong eye for detail.
You'll preferably have the following skills and experience, too:
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
- AAT Qualified or Accountancy degree (2:2 or above) - desirable not essential
- Good written, numerical and verbal skills
- Be comfortable in a fast-paced environment to deadlines
- Experience working in customer service
- Have a basic understanding of Accounts Ledgers/Invoicing
- Used to a fast moving, pressured environment, possibly providing administrative or customer service support in sales or service delivery
- Able to communicate effectively to all stakeholders, managers and clients, from straightforward queries to complex issues.
